Delta Data attended and exhibited at the 2024 Nicsa Strategic Leadership Forum (SLF) March 13-15 at the Signia by Hilton | Orlando Bonnet Creek in Florida to discuss the most pertinent topics affecting financial professionals worldwide. The three-day in-person event featured top-tier speakers, informative content, and nonstop networking in a beautiful new location.
With a conference theme of “authenticity,” many of the topics and discussions revolved around the future and adapting to an evolving industry landscape with heavy emphasis on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other emerging technologies.
Here are some highlights from the three-day event:
Future-Focused
During a first-day session called Think Like a Futurist, participants explored the fascinating world of futurism and how to navigate the ever-evolving landscape of technological advances. While discussing the mindsets that propel businesses forward, attendees were advised to adopt forward-thinking leadership perspectives and embrace the capacity to imagine the unimaginable.
Serving as a stark reminder of the importance of foresight and adaptability, the panelists emphasized the need for organizations to innovate rapidly in response to evolving trends and technologies.
Embracing Artificial Intelligence (AI)
The first day of the conference also featured a Reshaping the Value Chain session with Gen AI early adopters across the asset and wealth management industry who are transforming the delivery of integrated strategic approaches to drive growth, profitability, and service.
In exploring the transformative impact of AI on the asset and wealth management industry, the discussion highlighted how AI is revolutionizing existing practices and driving automation, consequently reshaping opportunities and value streams within the industry.
Key insights emphasized the necessity of securing business buy-in and delivering value-driven outcomes, alongside collaboration with partners to devise effective roadmaps.
100 Years of the Mutual Fund
Another highlight of the conference was the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the mutual fund. A discussion with a MFS Investment Management representative featured reflection on what the firm has learned since establishing the US’s first open-end mutual fund in March 1924, looking at how lessons learned over the past 100 years can be applied to address the key issues facing investors today.
Nicsa Gives Back
The third annual Nicsa Gives Back afternoon event benefited Expect Miracles Foundation – Financial Services Against Cancer, featured a Delta Data-sponsored charity golf tournament, provided meal kits to a local charity, and ended with a community dinner for all of attendees.
The event celebrated the 2023 Volunteer of the Year honorees, recognizing outstanding efforts of members who are dedicated to supporting the mission of Nicsa, serving the global asset and wealth management community, and advancing the broader industry.
Delta Data’s Stacy Gordon, Business Development Manager, was honored as this year’s Nicsa Volunteer of the Year from the NextGen Committee. For the past two years, Stacy has chaired Nicsa’s Charity Subcommittee, enlisting US Hunger for many of the Nicsa Gives Back events and pioneering the clothing drive at Nicsa’s GMM last November, which collected professional business attire for people who lack permanent housing and are seeking employment.
Nicsa’s Strategic Leadership Forum (SLF) is a premier annual industry event that offers a collaborative experience with leading innovators sharing unique perspectives, and as a conference exhibitor and sponsor, Delta Data was pleased to participate in this year’s conversations around adaptability and emerging technologies that are transforming the industry.
